Rules
OreWars is free to play. By joining you agree to this page. It is short on purpose.
How the world works
- Safe ring (0 to 750 blocks from spawn): nobody can hurt you. Coal and copper only.
- Risk ring (750 to 1,750): carry valuables or start a fight, and anyone may attack you.
- Lawless (beyond 1,750), the Nether and the End: open PvP.
- Die in the safe ring and you keep everything. Die carrying valuables, in a fight, or anywhere lawless, and you drop everything.
- Log out while you are a target and you drop everything.
- No ender chests, no homes, no teleports.
How to behave
- No cheats. No x-ray, hacked clients, dupes or exploits. Found a bug? Report it. Using it is a ban.
- Killing and robbing are part of the game where PvP is on. Slurs, harassment, threats and hate symbols are not, anywhere, in chat, on signs, in names or in builds.
- Do not get around a ring's rules to kill where PvP is off: no traps, lava or mob luring in the safe ring.
- No real-money trading. Nothing in this world is for sale between players for money.
- No advertising of other servers. No spam.
- One person, one account in a fight. Do not use a second account to dodge a ban.
What we may do
- We may mute, kick or ban an account that breaks these rules, and remove what was gained by cheating. The anticheat exempts nobody.
- We may change the game, fix the map and correct the results of bugs. If a bug gave you items, they may be taken back.
- The world may be reset, in whole or in part, for example at the start of a season. Fame may carry over; gear does not.
- The server is a hobby project. It can be offline, and things can be lost through faults. There is no claim to items, land, rank or uptime.
Money
OreWars has no pay-to-win. Nothing that gives an advantage in the game is sold, and nothing is sold at all today.
Your content
What you build, write and do in the game is seen by other players. Kills and other lines the whole server reads in chat can also appear on this website with your player name. See Privacy.
The small print
- You need your own Minecraft: Java Edition account and must follow Mojang's and Microsoft's terms for it.
- If you are under 16, play with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
- We are liable for intent and gross negligence. Beyond that, liability is excluded as far as the law allows. German law applies; the rights you have as a consumer in your own country stay untouched.
- These rules can change. The date below says when they last did.
